Our Mission

As part of the North American operations of Votorantim Cimentos, we are committed to making a positive, long-term impact on people and our planet. United Materials’ Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS) supports this goal, as well as our company mission, by developing, implementing, and administering comprehensive environmental health and safety services, policies, and procedures throughout the entire organization.

Our Goals

• ​To develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and training materials designed to improve overall environmental health and safety compliance.
• To improve communication with our employees and customers; and stress the importance of adhering to health and safety standards.
• To build and foster a “culture of safety” and become an EHS resource for the United Materials family.

Our Vision

To develop and promote a safe and healthful environment for all United Materials employees. Zero Accidents is not just a goal, it is expected. United Materials is a proud member of the National Safety Council since 2002.
